Karen is a Clinical Research Coordinator with the Health Decision Sciences Center at Massachusetts General Hospital. She is interested in enhancing the healthcare experience by prioritizing the integration of patient values and preferences into the shared decision-making process.
She actively engages in a study funded by the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI) that aims to enhance treatment decisions for patients with Aortic Stenosis through shared decision-making. Additionally, she contributes to another PCORI-funded study focused on enhancing decision quality and improving resources available to patients with tracheostomies and their caregivers.
Karen holds a Bachelor of Arts in Human Services from UMass Boston and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Fitchburg State University.
